Newport Wharves

Last Friday my good friend, Michelle, and I headed down south for a visit to Newport, Rhode Island.  I’ve only been once before, and did the whole mansion tour bit, which was incredible! but it didn’t leave much time for seeing the rest of the town.  So I was very excited to be able to do a some more exploring this (day)trip!  Our whole purpose in going, aside from the obvious of having fun, was to see the new Kiel James Patrick store on Bowen’s Wharf!

The Perfect 4th of July Dessert

This is the conclusion to the Great Strawberry Question of 2017.  If you read my strawberry picking post (here), you know that there was some question of what one does with three pounds of strawberries at the end of a good day of picking.  I kind of went into the whole strawberry picking thing with no formal plan in mind, which probably wasn’t the best idea…but I’m only human…a human who loves strawberries…

A Morning in the Strawberry Fields

It’s been ages since I’ve been out berry picking, and the strawberries are finally ripe in New Hampshire. I’m always antsy for the first fruit to come in season every year so I can eat the freshest and most flavorful produce. Buying them at the grocery store out of season…there is definitely a marked difference in taste. I like to try getting my fruit local at a nearby farm or market. Yesterday we picked the strawberries from a farm not far from where I live in one of my favorite towns of Hollis, NH. This weekend I hope to make my way to a couple farmers markets for more fresh produce!

Snapshots from Paris – First Day

So…this is a very long-overdue post, as I took my Europe trip over two months ago, but with my blog under construction for so long it sadly had to be pushed to the back burner.  Now, finally!
