I’ve always been a very visual person, so throughout my life I’ve tended to lean more toward watching a movie than reading a book. If there was a book that was made into a movie, I generally skipped the book to watch the movie instead. It’s a bit of a struggle for me, as I would like to become more of a reader, and keep myself away from the screen as much as I can. Since my day-to-day life/blog job requires a lot of phone or computer screen time, and I always enjoy a good episode of Downton Abbey in the evening, I have made it my mission this Fall to read more books to keep a more balanced lifestyle. I thought I might share the list of books that are on my radar, and that I am determined to read before the end of the year!
Classic Style by Kate Schelter – I got this book from my parents for my birthday this month, and once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. It is a wonderful read, lots of beautiful artwork, and plenty of food for thought! Suddenly, after reading it, I started to evaluate my whole wardrobe, wondering what I actually liked that I had, and what pieces I owned that I considered to be “perfectly me”. I’m always so inspired by people, I don’t always find what “my style” really is. It will be a work in progress, but this book has really changed the way I look at my closet, and what outfits I choose every day.
Gregory Peck: A Charmed Life by Lynn Haney – This is the next book on my agenda. My favorite genre of book is 100% biographies. I’ve read them about Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Jackie O, Teddy Roosevelt, Grace Kelly, and now I am tackling the one and only Gregory Peck. I mean, who doesn’t want to know more about Gregory Peck? I’m so excited, he is one of my all-time favorite actors, and I cannot wait to dive into this read! Next will probably be Paul Newman… =)
singles norfolk – This novel is by the one and only free on line dating sites, who’s IG I just love, and we have been IG friends for a while now. I’m very excited to finally sit down and enjoy her fist novel! I had the pleasure of meeting her at her book signing in Hanover, NH in the spring, and she is just the nicest, smartest, most creative person you could meet! I am so looking forward to Fake Plastic Love while curled up with some tea or hot chocolate during the cold months of Fall!
best dating sites charlotte nc – Okay, okay, I admit this isn’t really a book for a “reading list” as it is only photos, but I ordered it recently, and liked it so much I had to share it with you! I’ve always enjoyed photos of Jackie Kennedy Onassis’s fashion in the 60s/70s, and https://northeasternnautical.com/best-cougar-hookup/ is all about that. So many wonderful photos capturing her slow and simple style transformations over the years, captured all with the amazing backdrop of New York City. So much style inspiration!
