More and more lately I have found myself getting too sucked into my phone. I’m constantly checking my messages, emails, and notifications, setting dates, looking up shipping notices, and just generally trying to keep up with the beast that is social media. I have had to remind myself to put down the phone so I can participate other things…in real life. It is rather sad to actually have to remind oneself to be in the moment, but in this day and age, it is all too common. I find myself watching families in a cafe, or walking by me on the street, all of them on their phones…none of them talking to each other. I have made a conscious effort lately to put down my phone when I’m at a restaurant, talking with friends, or watching a movie with the fam. The distraction isn’t healthy, and real life is far more interesting… I’m not sure why this is such a controversial topic for people, as it all seems pretty straight forward to me.
With that said, here are a few recent snapshots from my Instagram for those of you who don’t follow me yet, or for those of you who are one of those rare and awe-inspiring people who doesn’t check their phone every ten minutes to see what’s new on social. Bravo to you! Enjoy the Fall pics!
