Happy November, everyone! November is always such a romantic month, I think…there is a coziness to it that I appreciate. It’s finally chilly enough to snuggle into sweaters and wool scarves, and the light is beginning to pale from golden to white as the leaves fall off the trees. Everything is the color of caramel. It’s such an outdoors kind of month, even the crisp cool air has an almost addictive quality that makes you want to keep breathing it in deeply.
November really is the month to get out there and go for those long, rambling walks in the sun. It’s the start of the holiday season, and somehow, just knowing that makes the month that much more delightful! I’m looking forward to baking apple and pumpkin pies, purchasing Christmas gifts, flipping through the festive holiday catalogs and magazines, with hot apple cider at the ready. How about you?

Also, what would November be without a good fall jacket, and a pair of trusty wellies? It’s been pouring off-and-on over the past week, and muck boots are a definite MUST in New England at this time of year.
Recently I purchased the Barbour Ashby Jacket in olive, and it has quickly become my “go to” jacket for the season. Every time I head outside, I grab it. It’s super practical, comfortable, ready for the elements, and the perfect length for a tall girl like me… I’m 5′ 10″ btw, and finding a jacket that fits well in body length and sleeve length is always a challange… I have the women’s Beadnell jacket, which I love, but I feel like the men’s Ashby fits me even better, with room to still cuff the sleeves! I would recommend it to any man or woman…but especially you tall ladies, it’s definitely a winner!
